GP CME has a strong reputation for short, sharp and to the point clinical content relevant to daily practice. Each session has 2-3 key 'take-home' messages to change clinical behaviour immediately. All General Practitioners, Registrars, Registered Nurses and Practice Managers are invited to attend. The meeting is under application for endorsement for CME and MOPS purposes by the RNZCGP. Over 300 GPs, Practice Nurses and Practice Managers attended the inaugural South GP CME 2010 and 2011 meetings. Delegate numbers in 2011 were affected by the Christchurch earthquakes, however the committee is committed to supporting the South Island and will continue to run the South GP CME meetings. We aniticipate 400-450 delegates to attend the 3rd annual South GP CME 2012 meeting.
The Medical Exhibition is a major part of the conference, and gives delegates access to a wide General Practice product and service update in one location. The meeting is known for its relaxed and collegial atmosphere amongst delegates and industry participants.
