My name is Ali BARBARA and I have been Practice Manager at Dunedin North Medical Centre for nine years. I am the current chair of the Otago PMAANZ group, a position I have held for seven years.

I hold a Diploma in Business Administration which I received in 2012 after completing five years of distance learning.

I thrive on challenges, and the fact that I am still a Practice Manager after nine years indicates that the role is interesting, challenging and ever changing. My latest personal challenge was to run a half marathon, last one I ran was over 20 years ago so it was a huge challenge. I completed in the Gold Coast half marathon early in July and happily received the finishes medal. Who knows what my next challenge will be, surviving another nine years as a practice manager?
